Review by hotel critic
Upon arriving at the Hotel Alpensonne Ruhpolding, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff and immediately felt at home. The double rooms with separate beds and a balcony offered ample space for relaxation and enjoyment, providing a beautiful view and comfort synonymous with a stay full of indulgence. We found the room service exceptional, with the breakfast being an outstanding highlight, and the dinners prepared at the hotel surpassed all other dining experiences in the village. The hotel's location was a tranquil retreat, providing a perfect base for exploring the stunning Chiemgau region. Hiking through the mountains revealed breathtaking landscapes, while the in-house swimming pool and Hörndl cabin blockhouse sauna added a touch of luxury to our stay. The late riser breakfast option until 11.00 a.m. Was a thoughtful touch, allowing us a leisurely start to our days filled with activities from swimming and sailing to skiing and mountain biking. The attention to detail, combined with the warm hospitality, made our holiday truly memorable. We will definitely be returning to this charming family-owned hotel, a hidden gem in the furthest south-east corner of Germany. A must-visit destination for those seeking a blend of comfort, nature, and culture in the heart of the Chiemgau region.
